Accommodation and all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided at the symposium hotel from Sunday evening until Wednesday morning.

Any accommodation or meals outside this period are at your own expense.

The nearest airport is Izmir International Airport (ADB).

After completing your online registration, you will receive a link to submit your travel and flight details.

If you request an airport transfer after registration, you will be met in the Arrivals Area by the Welcome Team holding the AWF logo or your name. Please note that you may need to wait up to one hour for other delegates before departure to the hotel (approximately 1-hour drive).

If you encounter any difficulties at the airport, please contact the local coordinator, the contact will be in your order confirmation email.

An optional Tourism Day to visit the historical site of Ephesus is organised on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Tourism Day includes transportation, site access, and lunch. Accommodation and dinner are not included.

At the end of the day, participants will be dropped off at Izmir International Airport.

If you are also attending the AWF Emerald Conference (6–9 May), a similar optional Tourism Day programme is available for Conference participants on Saturday, 9 May 2026.

Citizens of many countries are visa-exempt when travelling to Turkey.

Citizens of other countries should apply for an e-Visa at least 48 hours before travel via the

A visa on arrival may also be available but is generally more expensive than an e-Visa.

English is the main language of the symposium. Papers will be presented in English, French, and Spanish with simultaneous translation using headsets.

Please arrive early at each session to collect your headset before the session starts.
